It looks like Homegrown Hops, the wonderful outdoor (and indoor) space on the south side of town is looking for new owners. Known for having good beer, live music, food trucks, bocce courts, cornhole, and most importantly sunshine, Homegrown Hops is a unique spot in the Livermore brewery scene.
According to their ad on Loopnet the brewery, which was starting in 2019, is up for sale for $1,800,000. It’s a turnkey sale so the owners take over the space as well as all the brewing equipment, licenses, and presumably the beer recipes.
Homegrown Hops had expanded with a tap room downtown (it was at 56 North Livermore Ave.), but that endeavor shut it’s doors earlier this year.
I was just there this weekend after taking the kids to Joan’s Pumpkin Patch and it’s a great place, so I’m hoping they find new owners who can keep it going.
This news comes on the heals of the news that Shadow Puppet Brewery has also sold to Del Cielo Brewery of Martinez.
