Here is a recent shot of the renovation of the old Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Building into The Farmers Union Restaurant.

It looks like the old vaulted roof is coming down and the building has been stripped down to the walls. The original announcement from the city said the plan was to open in Summer/Fall 2024 so I think we can safely say they are going to miss that timeline.
This will be the second location for The Farmer’s Union, with the original in San Jose. You can expect a farm-to-table focused menu with delicious, locally-sourced ingredients. Located at 2324 Second Street, right next to Tequila’s and Peet’s, the restaurant is bringing new life to a historic building. Built in 1928 as a telephone repeater station, the space will feature a raised patio facing Livermore Avenue and a rooftop dining area accessible by elevator.
Stay tuned for more updates.
